Massage: working with the transformative power of birth
Pregnancy Massage Massage in pregnancy is supportive and empowering, and has been shown to reduce anxiety, and depression, promote better sleep as well as relieve muscle aches, pain and tension. Providing nurturing and nourishing, and a time of gentle relaxation, supporting you to connect with your body and your baby.
Postnatal Massage Massage in the postnatal period is just as beneficial as during pregnancy. It is an excellent way to take care of yourself as you take care of your newborn. Having a new baby can put a lot of strain on your body - breastfeeding and carrying your baby can cause shoulder and back pain, and regular massage can help. Your baby can be with you whilst I give the treatment, and I will work around their breastfeeding needs.
I did my training with Suzanne Yates of WellMother, and use a combination of holistic massage, shiatsu and energy work. I come to your home to give treatments, so you can relax afterwards. Massage treatments cost £70 for 90 minutes.
Developmental Baby Massage Developmental baby massage has been developed by Peter Walker to support a baby's development from birth to crawling. A fun class that promotes bonding and emphasises presence and connection with your baby. It's a time for you to be fully present with and enjoy your baby as you learn techniques to help your baby relax, bring flexibility to their hips and shoulders and strengthen their back, arms and less in preparation for sitting and standing. Above all else this is a fun, playful class for you to enjoy your baby whilst learning useful techniques. Private and group sessions available - please contact me for more information.
